We are looking forward to a great show year in 2017!! All shows will count for year end award, and the date of the banquet will be Saturday evening December 9 at The Grand Oaks.
The class schedules and show information for 2017 have been posted on the Calendar page – which is your “go to” spot for current info on each show…in addition to the Facebook page at Horse Shows in the Park, LLC.

We will be posting and asking for participation this year in sponsorship of our year end awards for each division. In an effort to keep it reasonable and fun – we are requesting a $200 sponsorship for the division of your choice which will enable recognition on the prize list, in Facebook posts, emails and announcements during the show., Name your division in 2017!!! ie; The Dreamstone Farm Modified Hunter …We’ll have a special page for our sponsorships, list hot links hang banners and more!!!
We’ve improved the on line registration form in 2017 and it should automatically confirm your entry has been sent when you’ve filled out the form …the form itself has been streamlined for even faster entry too!
Some changes to the class schedule from this last show year include:
Children’s Pony has been separated into sm/med and large.
The second Walk Trot Poles class has been removed
We’ve added a new Academy W/T/C division for those Academy riders who are still in Walk Trot but would like to get some experience in the arena at the canter…
The Thoroughbred Hunter Classic has been replaced with a Handy Round, and all three over fences will count for daily high point champion and reserve
The Marshall and Sterling Medals, combined with the Southeast Eq Medals, the Bit O Straw and the Novice medals/hunter classics now count for year end award in each of their own categories.
Marshall and Sterling and Southeast Eq Medal classes now count for the year end overall Eq, and Hunter awards.
Jumper Eq classes have been added at 2’6″ and 3′ to enable the show to add daily high points in the amateur divisions
New Divisions for IEA and IHSA members have been added at select shows. These divisions are eligible for year end award and daily high point.
Beginner Crossrails is now named Novice Rider
The High Point Novice Rider Overall Award now includes the Pea Green and Novice Jumper categories. Novice riders – keep in mind there can be cross entry to the jumper arena ie; the walk ttotters can go in Pea Green over the crossrails, and the Short/Long Stirrups and Intermediate riders can go in Pea Green and Novice. Intermediate riders can ride up to 2′ in Training Jumpers as well.
