POINTS STANDINGS
Points shown are for ALL classes in the horse show. Publishing all points earned aids in calculating the Overall Age Category winners at the end of the year. No year end awards will be provided in which fewer than 5 horses and/or riders receive year end points.
For an exhibitor to be eligible for a year end award, they must have shown in at least 6 days of horse showing at HSITP in 2009 at the Canterbury location. Show management reserves the right to change, combine, decline to award and/or determine prizes awarded. Other show venues utilized throughout the year ie; Wickham, Continental Acres, Jacksonville may have separate award programs available to those individuals showing at those locations.
The 2009 High Score Child, Junior and Adult rider prizes will be awarded by age category to the riders who have the most points in all their classes entered in 2009, including in hand, medals, schooling and all divisional classes.
All Medal, Medal Qualifying, Jumper Equitation Challenge, Mini-Medal, AHJF, Marshall & Sterling and EMR classes carry double points, excluding EMR Jumper Classics.
Child Rider: Age 11 and Under
Junior Rider: Age 12 – 17
Adult Rider: Age 18 and older
First Place = 7 points
Second Place = 5 points
Third Place= 4 points
Fourth Place= 3 points
Fifth Place= 2 points
Sixth Place= 1 point
The July 2009 Horse show at Canterbury is currently scheduled to be double pointed, as well as November 2009. Those classes already double pointed ie; Medals, etc. will remain the same ie; double pointed.
Year End Awards based on points earned throughout the year will be provided in the following Divisions, provided the eligibility criteria is met:

2009 HORSE OF THE YEAR COMPETITION
A number of limited classes will be designated “Horse of the Year” classes at the final horse show of 2009 on November 13--15th. These hunter classes will be at a designated fence height (2’, 2’3”, 2’6”, 3’ and 3’3”-3’6”) and open to only those horses who’ve received a Grand or Reserve Championship during the 2009 show year in a hunter division at that fence height.
Points Maintenance – our HSITP points will be maintained by Joanne Dapp, and posted as soon as possible after each horse show. Questions concerning points should be directed to wittyshowsec@earthlink.net . Please monitor your points and bring forward any discrepancies you may note.
