Grand Oaks Hunt Country Show April 7,8!!

New larger Jumper Arena and the remainder of the 2018 shows will see the addition and use in the jumper arena of our USEF “R” Jumper Course Designer Chris Barnard!!  Use the class schedule now on line on the Calendar page to use for registering for the show, but please be sure and check online the Thursday evening/afternoon before the show to see how the arena assignments may have changed per the number of entries received.  We do move divisions around a bit dependent on entries to ensure we finish at a reasonable hour!! That’s one of the reasons we ask for accurate class info on the entries, so we know who to put where and how many arenas to build in time for schooling on Friday. TRAINERS!! If you have a large group coming, simply summarize the entry info in an email (use class #s please)  to us rather than doing the on line entry one at a time. Much faster and it’s easier for us to key. BUT, be sure and bring the signed entry form (print them off and have everyone sign at the barn) with you so you can pick up the rider #’s.

We will have more permanent stabling available for us now that the winter boarders have begun to return up north, but as entries warrant we’ll bring in the tent stabling as needed.  Each tent stall costs the show $125.00 and we only charge $88.  Really Bad Math.  So – that’s why we require payment of any stabling booked but not used after the Tuesday deadline – as we have to pay for the stalls whether they are used or not.  Even if your stall is in the permanent barns – if you have booked a stall it’s in the final count which will determine how many tent stalls to bring in….

Note the new show dates below the Grand Oaks info on the Calendar page!! We are starting a low key, “Simply Schooling” show series in New Smyrna Beach at the Silver Sands Arena.  A separate circuit series from the Grand Oaks shows.  We’ll use our HSITP fences, courses and staff with our Sean on the tractor to get the footing just right….Jumpers…you’ll have striped poles and no filler after the Hunters finish on a jumper course we’ll build as fast as we can, and Sunday will be a great opportunity for everyone to polish their Equitation rounds too!…. Slated to kick off on April 21-22, this is a one arena, no ring conflict kind of show with 100 stalls and 26 RV sites with power and water.    We’ve designed the show to be fun and competitive. If certain divisions like Walk Trot or Crossrails get too big we’ll split them into A and B and C if necessary.    No jackets or braiding please but breeches/boots and ASTM certified helmet required.  A good show to wear your barn/team shirts!!  Word has it in July we may even have a Hawaiian Hunter Division or two…..Schooling fences during the show will be set up over on the grass on the south end of the grounds. Schooling in the arena opens Friday at One pm for those riders in the show itself.  This show may fill quickly so be sure and pre enter – as we’ll cut off entries when the number of rounds are at a realistic or just slightly under unrealistic number …see everyone at the show!!!!
